Trauma-Informed Care in Mt Kisco NY

Creating safety, trust, and choice while honoring the intelligence within

Trauma-informed care in Mt Kisco NY recognizes that difficult or overwhelming experiences may continue to influence the body, nervous system, emotions, relationships, and sense of safety—even when those experiences occurred long ago.

The question is not: “What is wrong with you?”

It is: “What has your nervous system learned, and what does it need in order to feel safe now?”

Trauma-informed care is not a single treatment or technique. It is a compassionate, person-centered approach grounded in safety, trust, collaboration, and choice.

My Trauma-Informed Care Approach in Mt Kisco NY

I provide trauma-informed care through two complementary services: Network Spinal Care and Ontological Coaching.

Network Spinal uses gentle, light-touch contacts to support greater awareness, adaptability and organization within the nervous system. Rather than forcing the body to change, we listen to its patterns and respect the pace at which it is prepared to respond.

Ontological Coaching explores the relationship among language, emotions, and physiology. Through compassionate conversation, we listen beneath the story for beliefs, interpretations, and protective ways of being that may have developed in response to past experiences.

Network Spinal listens to the body and nervous system.

Ontological Coaching listens beneath the story.

Together, they honor the whole person.

What You Can Expect

Trauma-informed care recognizes that every person’s needs and responses are different. During your visits, I will:

  • Explain what will happen before we begin
  • Ask permission before making physical contact
  • Respect your boundaries and personal choices
  • Pay attention to both verbal and nonverbal responses
  • Adjust the pace of care according to your comfort
  • Invite, but never require, personal disclosure
  • Collaborate with you rather than impose a predetermined process
  • Recognize when body-centered care may not feel appropriate that day

You remain an active participant in your care at all times. You do not need to explain or relive every detail of your experiences in order to be treated with sensitivity and respect.

Who May Benefit?

This approach may be supportive for people who experience:

  • Persistent patterns of tension or guardedness
  • Difficulty settling, resting, or feeling safe within the body
  • Heightened sensitivity or reactivity
  • Disconnection from bodily sensations
  • Stress related to touch or clinical environments
  • Protective beliefs or patterns that limit present-day choices
  • A desire for care that respects the interconnectedness of body, mind, and lived experience

I am honored to be included as a practitioner in The Breathe Network, an organization connecting survivors of sexual violence with trauma-informed, holistic healing professionals.

An Important Distinction

Trauma-informed care through Network Spinal and Ontological Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not replace appropriate psychological, psychiatric, or medical care. It can complement care provided, as needed, by qualified mental-health and medical professionals.

My role is not to fix or define you. It is to create an environment of safety, respect, and partnership in which your own awareness, choices, and healing intelligence can emerge.
